Most of you don't know this, but I purchased the latest-and-greatest version of vBulletin as soon as it became available late last year. It is extremely powerful and adds many great features never available on forum software previously. The issue I have been having is that many add-ons and customization that were added to this forum will no longer work. I would like to install it, switch the site over to it, and let everyone use the new system for a while. However, there will be some growing pains and things will be very different. I think it will be great, but I'm going to need help from everyone to get it setup in a way that works for us, just like I did when LHf first launched. So, I want to ask everyone's opinion - should I do it or not? Worst case scenario I can revert to the old site, but any posts/content added after the upgrade will not be present in the old installation. Thoughts?

OK everyone. I have been wanting to upgrade the site for some time now. One thing I have been thinking about is adding support for mobile apps since many of us are using smartphones. I would have preferred to go with tapatalk since more forums are using it and it already has Blackberry and Android support, but unfortunately it is not compatible with the version of vbulletin we run. I will be upgrading the forum software at some point, but it is a big deal. Most of the extended features and custom items like skins, contributor logos, the LHOTM system, etc. are incompatible and it will literally hundreds of hours to move an established forum like ours. So, for now, this is the best I can do. I highly recommend the paid version of this app. It is $1.99, but it is VERY good. Android and Blackberry support is coming, but for now only those of us drinking the Apple Kool-Aid can use it.
