Forum/Club membership card??

As a member of the 300mclub site we had a chance to get some really cool member cards made custom for us. It was a thick credit card type card with our own cars on them. Very well made. A member of the club took a lot of time to make this happen for us. They looked like this...

I happened to miss out on the chance to get one made. For two reasons. One being the lack of participation (have to be ordered in lots of 8..I figure we could get way more interest here at LHF) and the second reason I can't get into. It was personal between the designer and the 300m Club Board of Directors.

What do you peeps think? If the creator/designer of these cards is willing. Can you let me know what if any interest you would have in ordering one? Is this something LHF is interested in doing? Could we use the LHF logo/logos?

They are not cheap. The price over there was about $8 per card. Might be more now since that was over a year ago. Personally I would like to get two. One to keep in wallet. One for a spare.

I wanted one but didn't have any pictures I thought were nice enough to have immortalized forever on a membership card.

Since I have a credit card I can put pictures on, and put my m on it I don't really feel the need, but if the price was right I'd snag one up.

That would be sweet. If we could find a supplier and open an account so people can order a card if they want one of even order a different format. (poster maybe?)

there were different types of generic backgrounds as well as your own car on the card. The rest of the card would be designed by the original designer of the 300m cards if we get enough interest. He told me he would do them if enough people wanted them and he could get his old supplier to make them again. It would be up to us on what we wanted them to look like.

As far as a supplier goes. It is not worth it to them to only do one card at a time.

Are we allowed to use the LHforums.net logo??

Oh no, that's not what I meant at all. The 300m club is actually registered as an organization and seems to do the usual club type things like membership cards, newsletters, etc. We're not really setup that way and don't have membership numbers and such but if you guys want cards to show off you're a member of this forum you have my blessing!

I like the business card idea instead of a credit card type thing. Not that its a bad idea, but the business cards are cheaper and if you lose one its no big deal.

There is nothing that says both of these ideas can't be done! A credit card type card for those who want it. It more permanant. And a business card to hand out to people at shows/gatherings/passerbys to let them know about the site. We called these business type cards "wiper cards" over at the 300 site. They are really helpful in getting others to view the site.

Well, what you could do with the business cards is put your vehicle specs on one side and put the site information on the other..

For the credit card type ones I would have your screen name, real name, car info (e.g. 2003 Dodge Intrepid SE), and the site logo.
Somewhere around here we have business cards made up, that you just have to print them out, what I would do is print them out and put my sn on the back of it.

The Reason why I would much rather have the Logo, is there is a Diverse number fo cars here, and for one to say they want a Intrepid, or Concorde, or a 300M or An Eagle Vision is somewhat selfish, or atleast I would think. But it def needs to be professional and have a very nice font. I don't think the logo should cover the entire card, but be a logo on the top or something.

Now, if were doing different cards for everyone, I wouldn't mind having My eagle on it naturally.

Just to clear things up. The original concept I was introducing in my first post was a credit card type membership card. Each person that would want one would provide a High Res image of their own and a custom card would be made for each individual. The basic design of each card would be the same with the exception of the image you provide.

On the other hand. These business cards that Jradams350 came up with is something separate. I like both ideas myself. A member type card for the wallet and a business type card to hand out at club meets and shows. I go to a lot of local shows and it would be nice to have something to give people to let them know about this site.

We have, currently, the car of the month. If that were extended to pick one of those as the car of the year, that one could be used as the background for the M.C.
That way, the "lucky" member would have his/her car "immortalized" on the card for the year; next year, new car, etc.
