Study these threads and those from previous years to see what you are missing.
Start YOUR planning now for next year.
Your car can be a daily driver but your experience will be enhanced by making one of these meets.
Steve might a sticky be in order?????
agreed! I don't drive that far for nothing. Great people and a great time.

Hell, Carlisle is worth it for me just to say I got to hang out all weekend with a really tall guy from Wisconsin... :D
Seriously though, to anyone who has considered going and decided against it, think about it again.
Its a great time, you meet people you become great friends with, people from across the country whom you otherwise would never have encountered (That would be iggy and me!), as well as meeting all of the people you already are friends with online, but you get to be friends with them in person (Troopertrep and me!), and you have an absolute blast all the while...
Off topicness: Hey Adam, don't forget about me being on AIM, although I am headed to bed right now, even still, thats the best way to get a hold of me when I'm not still trying to get over lack of sleep at Carlisle...

Lol, this was my first year, and believe me It will not be my last.
My Car wasnt in the best shape with the problem with my wheels, ac problems, rough idle etc... But despite all that, I had a great time.
As Hank said if you want to go next year, start planning/saving now. The trip is definately worth it.

I'm taking a week off next year to head down earlier, and no modding the week before, it's just too damn stressful! I had an awesome time, great to meet you guys although didn't meet everyone I wanted to.
It is definately worth the drive, if for no other reason than to watch Ozzy eat steak fries.

Haha I just talked about this with my gf the other day, if she would have known about this we would have gone this year added that a trip to NY. But that is the plan for next year, so me and my gf are planning to go to carlisle 09. Sorry though she won't be in the pool with you guys but we might keep people up at the one night we will stay at the hotel if you know what I'm sayin. ;)

This was my first carlisle this year too, and it is an awesome time! As Ryan has said, you get to meet new people that you would otherwise never meet in person! If you have thought about coming to carlisle and changed your mind, next year change it back and come on out! It was awesome, from seeing the four tonners jumping in the pool to seeing a dash swap out in 2.5 hours! So start saving up your money for next year!
P.S. don't be a dumbass like me either and spend your carlisle money on stuff the week before carlisle and end up going with less that what you wanted!

I would love to go to Carlisle..but the drive and the shape of the Intrepid after the accident just doesn't make it possible. Maybe next year if I get this new job and get to trade in the trep for a Pacifica or Charger :)

It's a real blast. I've already started planning and saving for next yr. Next time I'm actually gonna get an entire week off, bring tons of cash, and hang out at Harry's for long periods of time. Hmmmm, think I'll need a U-Haul truck too :D

Man that boy can suck those back. I had a good laugh when after already consuming 5 or 6 orders, the waiter told him he had 8 more orders coming out!

If you become a paying member at the 300M club, you're pretty much guarenteed the most cruisin award. It's based solely on distance of travel.

Martin, it would be NICE. If you, Chet, Frank and Me will attend Carisle '09. It is already on my plan next year as well as our INDY'09 at 300mclub.

Yea that would be pretty cool!! It's in planning for now, but it seems like if even my gf wants to go, then its already a pretty good chance. Carlisle and a trip to NY where one of my relatives live so I could perhaps stay there for like a week, sounds like a great vacation to me!

it was a pretty darn good year i must say. Brought the GF and she had a blast and can't wait for next year already. She wanted to race down at the track, lol. We're actually gonna try and make it to the all ford nationals in june as well.
I must say, scott (IS300M) showed me the absolutley most amazin freakin detour to carlisle i've ever seen. it totally cuts out all the traffic and is an amazing view for the drive. two thumbs way up to our navigator. shit, i even found $5 parking. which was nice since i had to park outside the gate, and it was even in a shaded parking lot.

Fluff, I just remembered that our son is in the wedding next year when the wife's cousin gets married on July 11th. Gonna be tough for me to get a pardon... Maybe the two of them will split up before the wedding. :p

can be arranged, Brad, just need the perts......
So, where are the pictures of the 4 tonners? Inquiring minds want to know/see.... Just want to see if my ex was there.....
And...for me... yes, next year... couldn't swing it, since my wife's birthday fell on this years Carlisle weekend.... round number to boot.... so I spent the weekend at home with her.... trying to help her get over the depression caused by that round number...
EDIT: just found the video.... Nope, ex-wife not among them, but there were some topless women apparently with big breasts... My ex-wife's were smaller..
