Very nice, very clean, John.... like it a lot.... and understanding how you take care of your care, I am certain there isn't ANYTHING wrong with it... Even the engine badge looks like it was just put on... Your car does look better with the covers on. Ever thought about going with the later MY SE wheels (i.e. look like your wheel covers, but are actual alloy wheels)?

That is one thing I am want to purchase. I am thinking maybe in the spring after I replace the timing chain.

Yeah, you can bulk upload them all, and it will create html tags for all you select, and you can paste them all in one shot.

Yeah, nice GTO!!! I think I told you my Dad still has the 1965 LeMans he bought new. It's just the 326 3-spd on the floor, but at the time my Dad was 22 and didn't want the added expense of the Goat. Can kick himself now, but it's still a pretty cool car too!

The LeMans is a nice car. What are they worth now? They should be going up in price.

Probably not worth too much, but then again it's not going to be sold anyhow. I hope to hand it down to my son when he's much older!
Same exact car as the GTO, with the exception of the powertrain of course. His is that dark blue/green with white interior, and the original wheels covers with spinners. All original, only mod is dual exhaust with glasspacks, a mod he did about 40 years ago, lol!

Wow! 68k miles is unbelievable. I have 105k on the GTO. My dad gave it to me when I turned 17 years old. He had it for 20+ years. Rebuilt the engine and repainted it once also. Is your dad a member on Classicalpontiac.com?

No! He despises computers!
He has about a 1/2 dozen car nut buddies he hangs out with all the time, and they take their cars all over the east coast together (their street rods).

"68k on the clock" I said. :D
I just found out a couple months ago that when the car was nearly new he had disconnected the odo for a little while, probably actually more like 80k+ on the car. :D

Thanks Martin. I had a For Sale sign on it a few months ago because I was really close to selling it. This one guy saw it in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings and asked me if it really was a 2000. I told him yes and he was shocked that it looked that great for a 7 year old car. Because of that discussion I am keeping it now. LOL

I too can join the insaine floor mat crowd.
I took out my factory mats, and then put some Husky rubber mats for Suburbans in there. Its crazy how well those things keep dirt and gunk off the rug. But I only use them when its snowing or wet out because those Huskies will tear up the rug.

Concordes and LHS's down here are mostly driven by old people. Second gen treps are driven by middle aged people. Suprisingly I see a nice amount of younger people driving 300M's.

I see some codgers in M's too. Lots of women in treps, and most of them around here are SE's. I think we've got two of the very few SXT's around here, and there are very few ES models either. Quite a few 1st gens, but they are all "Buy Here Pay Here" condition. There's one in Tampa I see occasionally that has bullet holes in the door, lol.

Yea I've seen very few ES's and even less SXT's around here. ES's are usually in bad condition here too, but some in pretty good overall hard to find.
