I was doing some snooping around and found a 1999 Chrysler Concorde Lx that needs a little work to make it run again for $1200 obo. They say everything works except the engine which won't start. They say the tires are in good shape, body is excelent, interior is clean, red / purple in color. Damn, with I didn't spend all that money on parts to fix 3 vehicles that I have.

J/K of course, but does anyone want to donate a little money for me to get this thing and do a HOW-TO on the timing belt replacement on these things?

Of course, once I am through with it and not gonna be needing it, I will sell it and give back money to you. LOL :coolgleamA::surrender::1eye:

 I didn't say that did I.

lol, and what constitutes "a little work" - I'm guessing this car has the 3.2?

sounds like a 2.7 in need of a transplant to me, way too much money they're asking...

every Concord I seen in that color and hubcaps had a 2.7L which would need a timing chain... not a belt...

they said timing belt not chain, so it just have the 3.2L under the hood. Gotta ask him.

Teh guy reposted it back up saying that he needs to get rid of it ASAP. He was asking $1000 OBO, so I gave him a call. He returned my call a little while ago, and stated that it does have the 2.7L motor with timing issues and he is looking to get Beft Offer on it. IMO since it has timing issues and its not starting, the car isn't worth no $1000, hell I don't think its worth $500 since the motor is shot and needs to be replaced.

Since I got a some money (person bought several items that I had for sale) and going to the yard this week to get the Alt for my car, what should I offer this guy so I can have a 2nd gen Chrysler car?

My '99 LHS in near mint condition was $1500. Runs too! Only needed brakes, suspension work..........and a timing belt (since it's never been done as far as I can tell).

Rob, I was asking what should I offer the guy since the exterior and interior of the car is almost perfect, but the motor is trashed since the Timing was all screwed up (According to the guy). He just wants a best offer so that the car can get gone.
